Healthy Raspberry and Date Breakfast Yogurt Bowl



If you are looking for something, quick, easy, and packed with vitamins to keep you going in the morning then try this tasty little yogurt bowl.

I'm a big fan of yogurt bowls and over the years I have come up with a few of my favourite combos that last me all morning and longer (and I have no idea how...I mean...I ate a bowl of yogurt right?).

Wrong. The oats and nuts keep you going all morning, while the raspberries and dates give you a sugar kick packed full of vitamins.

Dates are a source of fibre, protein, and are known to be good for your digestive system, bones, and your skin.

Raspberries are packed with anti-oxidants and can help with weight loss (anyone heard of raspberry ketones? Well, this is the source).

Plus, yogurt is great for keeping your gut healthy (forget Yakult, they are using the same stuff that is in yogurt just with e-numbers and sugar).

Plus, if you are looking to fit in more nuts, this is the way to do it! Nuts are packed with good fats and omega 3 and 6, but I am awful at eating them! Now, I throw them into my yogurt and this combo works so well that it's more like eating dessert.


I admit I have enjoyed this combo as a dessert before, I make a smaller portion in a teacup and really, it's so tasty that it hits all my sugar cravings while stopping me from spiralling into a sugar frenzy thanks to the oats and nuts.

Ingredients

200g natural yogurt
1tsp honey
10g dried rolled oats
50g raspberries
3 dried dates pitted and diced
5 almonds

Method

1. In a bowl, mix together the honey and yogurt.

2. Add the raspberries, dried dates, oats, and almonds.

Done. You're good to go!
