Hummus with Crispy Lamb Bites

Hummus with Crispy Lamb Bites or Hommos Kawarma, is one of my favourite Lebanese dishes. I usually make it when I have leftovers from my Grilled Curried Lamb Chops (forever thrifty), so it's a win all round - leftovers used up, amazing snack / starter made, and minimal effort involved.

I seem to have some kind of never-ending hummus eating fantasy because I recently realised, I have approximately six tins of chickpeas in my cupboard. I just keep buying tins to make this and forgetting I have them!

I like whizzing up some hummus to keep in the fridge. It's great to pop into salads, at the side, or have as a snack with carrots, and of course, topped with the lamb bites, it's a great starter - which has accidentally ended up as the main before. It's so addictively tasty and filling I've ended up scoffing the whole thing before and skipping dinner.

Homemade hummus is A LOT more filling, thicker, and I think, tastier. You can also put a lot less oil in it to keep it nice and healthy.

So, here is the recipe!
